We subscribe to every newsletter about content marketing we can find. There are some that are daily must-reads, such as those from the Content Marketing Institute and Contently. Over the past week, we noticed a slew of posts with predictions for content marketing in 2015. We’ve sifted through them, so you don’t have to. Here are the best ones we’ve seen:

5 Lessons From Publishing Over 1000 Stories This Year:  Okay, so not really a post about predictions, but it does provide some helpful tips for content creation in the year ahead.

17 Marketing Influencer Predictions for 2015:  This piece surveys 17 content marketing thought leaders. The insights range from the obvious (develop content for your customers) to the surprising (SEO as a term will die in 2015). Our favourite is number 10.

The Role of PR and Content Marketing in 2015:  Ever since the rise of social media, PR shops and ad agencies have duked it out over who is best equipped to produce content for their clients. This article rightly calls for a long-overdue integration of the two disciplines and a warm embrace of PR by content marketers in 2015.

This post contends that marketers may be on their way to killing the content marketing golden goose through over-production in 2015. And that SEO is, in fact, alive and well.

5 B2B Marketing Trends for 2015 That You Should Get a Head Start on Now: This piece may have been written six months ago, but that makes it no less relevant. The point about the use of marketing automation tools is particularly important to any marketer who intends to make a serious move into the content game.

The Top 50 Content Marketers in 2014:  Another piece that doesn’t look forward, but looks back, this time at the top content marketers in the US in 2014. No surprise that Red Bull makes the cut but wait, what? There are no less than four insurance companies on the list!

5 Marketing KPIs To Track in 2015:  Used to be it was enough to just collect likes for your posts to prove their worth to the boss. Those days are long gone. Measuring content marketing effectiveness is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and this article presents some of the latest thinking.

60 Content Marketing Predictions for 2015:  Last, but certainly not least, is this Slideshare from the Content Marketing Institute written by the godfather of content marketing, Joe Pulizzi. That’s right, 60 predictions, the most surprising of which is the rise of print magazines (we’re sceptical).
